Lose Them

Lose Them If You Can by Deanna Pickard
The Vincent Brothers Company. 2003. $12.95.

“Pickard has woven herself a many-colored sweater of remembrances we can share and bask in for years to come.”
—James Reiss

In Lose Them If You Can, her second collection of poetry, Deanna Pickard elevates the commonplace of supper tables, summer nights, and spools of yarn into incandescent scenes painted with words arranged by the keenest of eyes and finely tuned ears. Weaving themes of loss, fear, death, and madness with the myths and wisdom of her Polish ancestors, Ms. Pickard creates a world both beautiful and haunting. Garrison

Inside the Sound of Rain by David Lee Garrison
The Vincent Brothers Company. 1997. $6.95.

“In David Lee Garrison’s poems, the ordinary is stated with a zany pause and a fantastic glint. He is a master of plain unlikeliness, which we hear through his artistic candor.”
—Willis Barnstone, Indiana University

Inside the Sound of Rain, David Lee Garrison’s second collection of poetry, captures the everyday sights and sounds of the Midwest—cornstalks, fireflies, blackbirds, and apple pie—with humor, sincerity, surrealism, and a sharp poetic vision. With illustrations by David Leach. PayPal ordering is coming soon! Stay tuned.
