INDU SUNDARESAN, born and raised in India, came to the United States to earn her graduate degree in Economics and Operations Research from the University of Delaware. Sundaresan’s acclaimed debut novel, The Twentieth Wife, is a sweeping historical tale tracing the life of Mehrunnisa, the daughter of a Persian nobleman, from her penniless birth in a caravan to becoming the twentieth wife of Emperor Jahangir. Ms. Sundaresan, who lives in the Seattle, is currently working with a local theatre group, Encore Playhouse, and awaiting the publication of her second novel, The Feast of Roses, a sequel to The Twentieth Wife.
